New Mexico boasts many notable public courses, but none match the unique character and backdrop of Coyote del Malpais. Tucked beneath the dramatic grandeur of 11,300-foot Mount Taylor, the Coyote features 18 holes for up to 7,000 feet of wide-open, challenging driving. If you wish, tame the Coyote with one of the five tee distances at every hole. Sixteen lakes add cool elegance to this championship course, but also add a thrilling challenge for those driving from the pro tees.
There's no reason to wait for a special trip to Coyote del Malpais, because it is easily reached from Albuquerque—right off I-40, it's just an hour away from the city. Once you get to Coyote you won't wait either, because it's far from the fast pace of the urban grind—and far away from long tee-off lines, too! You can still always make reservations up to 5 days in advance.
In addition to incredible grooming and expert design on the greens and fair-ways, Coyote del Malpais ensures your satisfaction with a fully equipped pro shop, refreshing foods and beverages, and the trademark Grants hospitality you won't soon forget. Twin Warriors has the distinction of ranking #49 on Golf Digest's 2005 list of America's 100 Greatest Public Courses. This breathtaking course was also the host of the 2003 CPC Tournament (Club Professional Championship). The 2001 opening of the 320-room Tamaya Resort, a joint venture between the Hyatt Regency and the Pueblo of Santa Ana, provides golf enthusiasts with a must-see golf destination.
The 18-hole Santa Ana Tamaya course is a gem in the desert. Crafted by noted course architect Gary Panks, this course layout—routed in and around 20 ancient cultural sites—incorporates spectacular views of the Sandia Mountains. Wonderful dry washes, grassy knolls, and juniper and piñon pine ridges define this par-72 layout.
At an elevation of nearly 5,000 feet, this course requires a steady eye and a tenacious touch. The par-3 signature hole #4, for example, comes in at a short 180 yards, but finesse is a must to avoid the series of ponds, waterfalls, and the right-front bunker.
Named after the two warriors who led the Santa Ana people to settle along the banks of the Rio Grande, Twin Warriors is a special place where culture and land become one.

The Isleta Eagle is a 27-hole, public daily-fee golf course with three distinct nine-hole tracts. Each tract was designed around the natural beauty of the site, giving the course a resort-like character. The three nines—Lakes, Mesa and Arroyo—are centered around a pueblo-style adobe club-house with spectacular views of the golf course and championship practice range. The Lakes Nine plays down off the mesa slopes to two large lake complexes. Seven of the holes are designed around the large contoured edge-shaped lakes. The Lakes Nine signature hole is a beautiful par-3 hole built into a five-acre lake with a large island green complex.
The Mesa Nine is a magnificent and beautiful golf tract. Designed on the native grass, these holes boast backdrop views of Mount Taylor and the Rio Grande. Most of the holes on the Mesa Nine are designed around and across native mesa washes.
The Arroyo Nine was designed around the largest mesa arroyo, creating the course's most spectacular view from the No. 1 hole tee. On the first and ninth holes, a player can negotiate strategies over and adjacent to the large arroyo.
All nine-hole tracts are par 36, with any two combinations adding to at least 7000 yards. The Pueblo of Isleta invites you to play a combination of our 27 holes and enjoy golf New Mexico-style!
